<p>Mr David Bennett was educated at Kings College School of Medicine and in 1985 achieved a Bachelor of science, first class honours degree in Physiology.<br /><br />Mr Bennett later received oesophagogastric surgical training at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.</p> <p>Further training included minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hepatobiliary surgery.</p> <p>Eighteen months general gastrointestinal training on a specialist colorectal unit and a further fifteen months breast and vascular surgery at Derby City Hospital</p>
